With my digital canvasses I use shapes, lines, colour and non-traditional imagery for abstract expressionism that’s emotional in its effect and questions the intangible mystery of the empty space.
My interest in post-painterly abstraction is inspired by the career of Frank Stella. His famous 1964 maxim, “what you see is what you see” has led me to focus only on the basic elements of colour, composition and shape and not on what it represents.
